Memory cards for cameras and CCTV.

SDXC V60 and V90, microSD and CFexpress Type B from SanDisk, Lexar and Kingston, for cameras, drones, dashcams and recorders.

Why these brands

What we stock and why.

The right memory card depends on the device, not the capacity. SD and SDXC cards fit most cameras. microSD cards go in phones, drones, action cameras, dashcams and many CCTV cameras. CFexpress Type B cards are for cinema cameras and high-end hybrids that record high-bitrate video or long RAW bursts. Check the camera manual for the card type and speed it asks for before you order.

Speed ratings are easy to misread. The SD Association's video speed classes set a minimum sustained write speed: V30 is 30MB/s, V60 is 60MB/s and V90 is 90MB/s, as set out on its speed class page. That minimum is what keeps recording smooth, so it matters more than the headline read speed on the packaging. The UHS bus matters too. UHS-I tops out at 104MB/s, while UHS-II uses a second row of pins to go faster, but only a UHS-II camera or reader takes advantage; in a UHS-I device a UHS-II card simply runs at UHS-I speed. The card reader matters as much as the card, because offloading runs at the speed of the slowest link.

CFexpress Type B uses a PCIe and NVMe interface, so it is far faster than SD. Our Lexar memory cards page covers Professional CFexpress Type B in Gold and Diamond tiers, where Diamond is listed at 1700MB/s sustained and Gold at 1500MB/s. SanDisk covers Extreme PRO SDXC in V60 and V90 and PRO-CINEMA CFexpress. Dual-slot cameras let you record to two cards at once, and the slower card sets the pace, so buy matched cards.

For CCTV cameras and dashcams that overwrite constantly, use high-endurance or industrial-temperature microSD such as Kingston's Endurance and Industrial Temperature lines, because ordinary cards wear out under constant rewriting and heat. Format a new card in the camera, not the PC. Pick capacity by recording time, then add a margin, and buy from a supplier you can reach after the sale, because counterfeit cards are common online and fail under sustained recording. We hold cards in stock at our Bur Dubai office. Send the models and quantities on WhatsApp for a price and stock position the same working day, with same-day Dubai delivery on orders confirmed before 2pm.

How to choose

Four things UAE buyers ask when scoping memory cards.

The factors that actually decide the spec — not the marketing matrix.

  1. 01

Match the card type to the device

SD and SDXC for most cameras. microSD for phones, drones, action cameras, dashcams and CCTV. CFexpress Type B for cinema cameras and high-end hybrids. The camera manual states what it accepts.

  2. 02

    Read V30, V60 and V90 as minimums

V30, V60 and V90 are minimum sustained write speeds of 30, 60 and 90MB/s. Choose the class that covers your recording bitrate, and go one step up for dual-slot or high frame rate work.

  3. 03

    UHS-I or UHS-II

UHS-II cards are faster but only in UHS-II cameras and readers. In a UHS-I device they run at UHS-I speed, so do not pay for UHS-II unless the host supports it.

  4. 04

    Capacity and offload

Size cards by recording time with a margin. Several mid-size cards are safer than one large card, and a UHS-II or CFexpress reader makes offloading faster.

FAQ

Memory cards buyer questions, answered.

Questions that actually come up on quotes. If yours isn't here, WhatsApp us or send the form.

  • A V30 card meets the sustained write speed for many 4K recording modes, and V60 or V90 is the safer choice for high-bitrate or high frame rate 4K. The camera manual lists the card class it needs, so check it first.

  • They are video speed classes from the SD Association. They guarantee minimum sustained write speeds of 30MB/s, 60MB/s and 90MB/s. Higher classes suit higher bitrate video.

  • UHS-II uses a second row of pins for higher bus speed. It only helps in cameras and card readers that support UHS-II. In a UHS-I device the card works at UHS-I speed.

  • They are different sizes and use different slots. SD and SDXC cards fit cameras. microSD fits phones, drones, action cameras and many CCTV cameras. An adapter lets a microSD card work in an SD slot.

  • CFexpress Type B is a PCIe and NVMe card format used in cinema cameras and high-end hybrid cameras. You need one only if the camera has a CFexpress slot and records high-bitrate video or long RAW bursts.

  • Yes, from our Bur Dubai office. Our range includes SanDisk Extreme PRO SDXC and microSDXC, PRO-CINEMA CFexpress, and Lexar Professional SDXC and CFexpress Type B. Send the models for a same-day quote.

  • Buy from a supplier you can contact after the sale, check the packaging and test large cards by writing and reading back data before real use. Counterfeit cards report a false capacity and fail under sustained recording.
