Privacy policy

This policy explains how IT WORLD TRADING LLC (“IT World”, “we”) collects, uses, and stores personal data when you visit our website or request a quote. It follows the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law 45 of 2021) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation where it applies.

Who we are

IT World Trading LLC is registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Trade license held in Dubai. Office at Al Souq Al Kabeer Building 1, Office 38, Bur Dubai, Dubai.

What data we collect

When you submit a quote request, contact form, or WhatsApp enquiry, we collect:

  • Company name
  • Contact name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Product list and quantities
  • Delivery emirate and any free-text notes you include

When you browse the site, we receive standard technical data from your device (IP, browser, referrer, pages viewed). With your consent, we also use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site.

Why we use it

We process personal data to:

  • Reply to your quote request
  • Send order confirmations, invoices, and delivery updates
  • Handle warranty claims and after-sales support
  • Improve the website experience (only with cookie consent)
  • Meet our legal obligations under UAE tax and VAT law

Lawful basis (GDPR visitors)

Where GDPR applies, we rely on three lawful bases: your consent (for analytics cookies and marketing emails), performance of a contract (when you order from us), and legal obligation (UAE VAT records, retained per FTA rules).

Who sees your data

Your data is processed by IT World staff. We use a small set of third-party processors:

  • Resend — sends transactional emails (autoresponders, order confirmations)
  • Make.com — routes your quote request to our CRM and Google Sheets log
  • Google (GA4, Search Console) — only with your consent for analytics
  • Microsoft Clarity — heatmaps and session recordings, only with your consent
  • Vercel + Cloudflare — hosting and DNS

We do not sell your data. We do not share it for marketing purposes beyond what you ask us to do.

How long we keep it

Quote requests and order data are retained for seven years to meet UAE VAT and tax record-keeping obligations. Analytics data is retained per Google’s defaults (14 months for GA4). Email communication is retained for three years unless you ask us to delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct any inaccurate data
  • Delete your data (subject to our legal retention obligations)
  • Object to certain types of processing
  • Withdraw cookie consent at any time
