SNV3S/1000G is the 1TB NV3 in the standard M.2 2280 size. The 1TB in the short M.2 2230 size is a different part, SNV3SM3/1T0 — check which slot you have before ordering.

Kingston rates the 1TB at up to 6,000MB/s read and 4,000MB/s write on a PCIe 4.0 board, with 320TB written of endurance and a limited 5-year warranty. On a PCIe 3.0 board it works, but at PCIe 3.0 speeds.

Kingston's datasheet specifies 3D NAND and does not commit to TLC or QLC. For everyday and gaming use that doesn't change much. If you write large files continuously — video scratch, big project copies — the KC3000 or FURY Renegade hold their write speed for longer.

NV3 is the value PCIe 4.0 drive (1TB: 6,000/4,000MB/s, 320TBW). KC3000 is faster and far more durable (1TB: 7,000/6,000MB/s, 800TBW) for workstations. NV2 is the older generation at about 3,500MB/s read — the NV3 replaces it at a similar price point.

Kingston states the NV3 is designed for desktop and notebook workloads and is not intended for server environments. For servers, NAS caching or 24/7 write loads, use Kingston's DC600M or DC3000ME, which we also stock.
